Immaculate Conception Catholic Church can trace its roots back to 1857 when the first Catholic settlers arrived. Watertown was first visited by a priest in 1859. The parish was called Immaculate Conception in 1863 when the first church was built. May 14, 1882 marks the beginning of the written records of the parish.
